This Essential Oil Hand Sanitizer Is My New Favorite Fragrance

Moxe Hand Sanitizer

I recently wrote about the importance of a quality hand sanitizer — one that properly cleans while using clean ingredients. Despite hand sanitizer being low on my radar prior to COVID-19, I’ve suddenly become well-versed in what makes a quality one. One of the brands I’ve chosen to highlight is MOXĒ Hand Sanitizer.

As I try more products, I dig into what truly makes a quality hand sanitizer. It’s something I didn’t see taking precedence on my blog, but these are the times we are living in. No matter our views on how COVID-19 will determine the rest of 2020, or even the following year, the importance of hand sanitizer will remain the same. When we don’t have access to soap and water, an efficient and effective way to rid our hands of germs is through the use of sanitizer.

You’ve likely become more aware of just how many surfaces your hands come in contact with in a day. Going to the grocery store, pumping gas, typing your pin number when you purchase random items, all leave you vulnerable to harmful bacteria and viruses. You can help avoid scary viruses like the coronavirus, the flu, common cold and more by using sanitizer after touching these high-contact surfaces.

I’m the type of person who loves to clean, nourish and smell good. But many products on the market don’t offer you the ability to do so without subjecting yourself to harmful ingredients. I seek out clean ingredients to get the job done. When it comes to cleaning my hands, MOXĒ Hand Sanitizer is one of the few brands I’ve found that allows me to sanitize on the go safely.

MOXĒ offers a diverse product line of ways to harness the healing powers of essential oils. At first offering only aromatherapy products including Nasal Inhalers and Personal Diffusers, the brand now provides its Citrus Oil Hand Sanitizer, and I can’t get enough of its triple threat power: It’s naturally fragrant. It sanitizes effectively. And it nourishes your skin.

The 8-ounce, cruelty-free sanitizer is fortified with citrus essential oils as opposed to synthetic fragrances, so you can smell delicious without absorbing questionable ingredients into your skin that make their way into your bloodstream.

The CDC recommends using a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. MOXĒ Hand Sanitizer consists of 70 percent ethyl alcohol to reduce bacteria that can potentially cause disease.

Something else to look for in a quality hand sanitizer is moisturizing ingredients from natural sources. MOXĒ leaves hands feeling soft and refreshed with the addition of aloe vera and vitamin E.

The ability to clean my hands at a moment’s notice, especially when I need it most, and leave my hands feeling soft, while enjoying the benefits of aromatherapy, makes MOXĒ Hand Sanitizer a brand I stand behind.

MOXĒ Citrus Hand Sanitizer can be found in major US retailers (Costco, CVS & Wegmans), and the brand also offers an Unscented Hand Sanitizer 8 oz bottle on the MOXĒ website as well.

The last note I’ll make on this is proper use! With any hand sanitizer, it’s important to provide enough product to cover all surfaces of your hands. You should then rub until your hands feel dry. Wiping away excess can diminish the effectiveness of the sanitizer.
