Travel Photos to Get You Through the Pandemic
If you’re like me, home was kind of fun for a while, but now that you can’t have Europe, you want Europe. I’ve been going through so many travel photos lately, trying to find ones I want to frame for my home (that I seem forever stuck in), and it’s been making me long for the peculiar tang of jet fuel as I board an airplane; the tingling sensation that builds in my feet and skyrockets up to my chest, making me feel anxiously alive upon entering a country I’ve never visited; the jaw dropping collection of colorful homes cascading down a hillside in Portugal; the radiant hues of overflowing spices lined up at a souk in Old Dubai; and the way just the sight of a Napoletana pizza makes my mouth fill up with water as every tastebud in my mouth mimics the sweet, spicy, tangy, richness of just one bite from the pie.
Home is my haven, and I’m so grateful to be able to be healthy, happy and safe. But travel is waiting, and I must go! Looking through travel photos makes me nostalgic, grateful and excited for the future.
