Philips Hue
Every day, the most important lights in my home automatically turn on at dusk. I synced this high tech lighting system to my Amazon Echo devices, so with a simple command of my voice, I can manually turn lights on and off as well as dim or brighten them. Oh, and they even change colors to set the mood.
Ring Video Doorbell
As someone who lives on a busy street and receives a lot of packages, having any form of security is pretty important to me. I’m able to see exactly who rang my doorbell and even speak to the person outside my door via the Ring app on my phone. With a subscription, you can playback video as well.
Sonos
I like to think of Sonos as a DIY surround sound system. Choose from various speakers (like a series of Sonos Ones and a Soundbar) for next level sound quality throughout the house. I love that with the Sonos app, you can choose to power on one speaker or several. Plus, within the app you can access Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and more.
Dyson v11
Travis calls the Dyson my “other lover,” and he’s pretty spot on. I get so much joy out of this cordless stick vacuum. It doesn’t just pick up surface dirt, but deep cleans with its three levels of suction to actually make your carpets, rugs and floor noticeably brighter. It comes with a ton of attachments too.
Dyson Pure Hot + Cool
An air purifier, fan and heater in one, this Dyson machine circulates purified air throughout the whole room using a sealed filter with HEPA and activated carbon. I have several friends who are allergic to cats, and when they come over, they’re amazed that they don’t have a reaction to my cat. I attribute it to my Dyson for sure.
Bissell CrossWave
I’ve turned a few friends onto this mighty machine already. This is a cordless wet/dry vac that vacuums, mops and revives area rugs. Fill the tank with warm water and Bissell’s multi-surface solution, and work your way around the house, seamlessly transitioning from floor to rug with a push of a button.
Breville Barista Touch
I have become the type of coffee snob who can’t even stomach drip coffee. Yuck! Making a cappuccino has become a cinch with the Breville Barista Touch. You can customize your grind and brew time or choose from automatic settings for espresso, double espresso, latte, flat white, americano, or my classic cap. Oh, and the milk frother is automatic, so you don’t have to worry about screwing up a perfect dollop of foam!
Google Nest WiFi Router and Point
If your WiFi sucks like mine because there’s only one company to choose from in your area, get the Nest. It has changed my life! The system extends your WiFi throughout the home, with one aesthetically pleasing router placed in the living room of my home, while another similar looking device called a “Point” plugs into an outlet in my bedroom for additional coverage while also serving as a Google Home Speaker!
Kohler Moxie Shower head Speaker
I can’t tell you the amount of guests I’ve had visit who blast their smartphone speaker on the bathroom counter as they shower. It inspired me to look up shower speakers, which led to the discovery of Kohler’s high tech Moxie Speaker. Remove your current shower head and replace it with this sleek design. The center of the shower head is a removable, rechargeable speaker with supreme sound.
Simplehuman Wall Mounted Sensor Mirror
Beauty and skincare lovers, rejoice! This high tech wall-mounted mirror lights up when you walk up to it, so it doesn’t waste electricity or battery power (I chose the rechargeable version). The 10x magnifying mirror allows me to get up close and personal with my pores, dermaplaning tool, tweezers and makeup.
